That’s All Folks!
The 2017 Chester International Film Festival has now concluded.
Many thanks for your support, making this year’s festival a highly successful event. We have been well supported by our audiences, and our audience has really enjoyed the film offering. Take a look at these scores:
Julieta 8.42
Hunt for the Wilderpeople 9.19
The Clan 8.33
Fire at Sea 7.74
Dheepan 8.45
Embrace of the Serpent 8.31
Hell or High Water 7.76
Our last night on Saturday 11 March also saw the culmination of the 2017 Chester Animation Festival with the Audience Award. Throughout the festival our audiences scored the animation films accompanying the main features. Our two highest films then went head to head to find the winner. Clear winner was the truly amazing 3D Animation LIGHT SIGHT by Seyed M Tabatabaei from Iran. Congratulations to our winner, our runner-up Mark Mason for A SINGLE BLADE OF GRASS, and to all our animators.
Many thanks to the people who contributed to the running of the Festival – Keith Maxwell for technical support, the Festival Church staff for their manning of the Coffee Bar and generally looking after us, and the Society Committee for running the event.
Although the film festival has concluded Chester Film Society continues to offer the people of Chester and surrounding areas the chance to see some of the finer films of world cinema in a relaxing and appreciative atmosphere.
