That’s All Folks!
Last night’s classic presentation ROME OPEN CITY concluded the 2015 Chester International Film Festival. Thank you for your support, and thanks to the various venues helping us show our programme.
Photos from this year’s festival can be found on Flickr – including some very dramatic shots including this one of the moon rising behind St Mary’s Centre:
Accompanying our Festival was our Animation Showcase. Votes each night was counted to see who would go head to head on our last night. However, the top 3 films were only separated by 0.01 points, so we went with a three-way showdown. Last nights finalists were THE SHEEP SHOP, COOPED and SLAVES OF THE RAVE. After a show of hands this year’s Audience Award goes to THE SHEEP SHOP! The winning animator Jorn Leeuwerink from The Netherlands will be contacted shortly. Well done to all of the animators in supporting the festival.
So, it’s back to normal business now. Our Society Programme continues on Friday 20th March at the Grosvenor Museum with LOCKE – a riveting car journey with an outstanding performance by Tom Hardy.
Thanks again
Mike, on behalf of the committee1
