Chester International Film Festival Preparations
A quick update on the 2015 International Film Festival. Films have now been booked and our programme is nearing completion. We will let you know when the programme is formally launched, where you can visit the updated website and also buy tickets.
We have closed our submissions for the 2015 Animation Showcase. We received over 120 entries from all around the world, and we will soon be selecting the finalists to accompany our main film programme. Due to the number of entries I have not been able to respond to each animator, suffice it to say that the standard was once again very high, across the whole range of animation from traditional stop motion through to cutting edge realistic computer animation, and covering every genre imaginable. Many thanks to all our contributors. During the festival, the highest voted animations go forwards to our final Audience Award.
Chester International Film Festival takes place from Tuesday 24th February till Saturday 7th March 2015. Venues include the Grosvenor Museum, St Mary’s Centre and new for 2015, Chester Cathedral (Refectory). 2015 is our 29th International Film Festival! Chester Internation Film Festival is run by Chester Film Society. Join our mailing list at www.chesterfilmfans.co.uk to be kept informed of society and festival news. #chestertweets
